At Drakos Urgent Care, we provide a wide range of vaccination services to protect you and your family's health. Our experienced team offers convenient access to recommended vaccines for all ages, from required school immunizations to vaccines for new Americans.

    • Protection against common adult illnesses including flu,rsv, and tetanus.

    • Age-appropriate immunizations to keep your children healthy and meet school requirements.

    • Required immunizations for new permanent residents.

School & Childcare Vaccination Requirements

New York State School Requirements

According to NYS Department of Health, all children attending public, private, and religious schools, including pre-K and day care, must receive required vaccinations unless they have a valid medical exemption.

14-Day Compliance Requirements

Parents must provide within 14 days of first day of school:

  • Proof of up-to-date vaccinations, OR
  • Valid medical exemption documentation Children who are unvaccinated or overdue must:
  • Receive first dose of all required vaccines within first 14 days
  • Complete subsequent vaccines within 14 days of due dates

Day Care & Pre-K Requirements

  • DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Polio
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (HiB)
  • Pneumococcal Conjugate (PCV)(Not available)

Additional Middle & High School Requirements

  • Tdap for Grades 6-12
  • Meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) for Grades 7-12
    • Additional booster dose required for Grade 12 students after age 16

Medical Exemptions

  • Available only for medical conditions preventing vaccination
  • Must be properly documented by healthcare provider
  • No non-medical exemptions accepted in NYS
  • Subject to review and renewal requirements
