We are looking for a Paramedic to join our growing team of healthcare professionals in a family urgent care setting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask both independently and on a team in order to work productively and effectively within a complex, fast-paced environment including assisting with treating patients' various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. In addition to providing high-quality patient care the ideal Paramedic will possess the necessary knowledge and communication skills to answer patient/family questions and easily relate and connect with the pediatric population.

Responsibilities
- Obtain, verify, and document patient billing and insurance information during check-in
- Responsible for collecting patient health history and vital signs in addition to the collection of specimens, and performing diagnostic point-of-care testing.
- Assist the practitioner with examinations, procedures, and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure concise, pertinent, and complete documentation using computerized medical record process
- Prepare exam rooms, including maintenance, sterilization of equipment, and stocking/restocking supplies.
- Provide day-to-day staff, logistical, and administrative support
- Obtain electrocardiograms as ordered by medical provider
- Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and serviceability of the facility and arrange maintenance repairs of equipment as needed
- Maintain inventory, submit order requests for clinical supplies, and perform clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; NYS EMT Paramedic
- Knowledge and skills including phlebotomy, performing EKGs and recognizing potentially life-threatening/ critical arrhythmias with 2 years of experience in an emergency department, high-volume prehospital setting, urgent care, or busy medical office. Pediatric experience preferred.
- Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification (or ability to acquire certification prior to the first day of employment)
- American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certification preferred
- Driver's License (Preferred)
