The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the urgent care center. This role ensures that the center runs efficiently, providing high-quality care to patients while overseeing staff performance, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Staff Management and Supervision:
    1. Hire, train, and supervise administrative and clinical staff.
    2. Conduct performance evaluations, manage schedules, and ensure adequate staffing for optimal patient care.
  2. Operations Management:
    1. Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely patient care while eliminating operational bottlenecks.
    2. Coordinate patient registration, billing, and record-keeping functions.
    3. Ensure that equipment and supplies are available and properly maintained.
  3. Financial Management:
    1. Manage budgets, including operating expenses and payroll.
    2. Monitor revenue cycle and work with billing staff to ensure accurate billing and collection processes.Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining care quality.
  4. Regulatory Compliance:
    1. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA.
    2. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance and safety.
  5. Patient Relations:
    1. Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain a patient-centric focus, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of urgent care services.
    2. Oversee patient satisfaction initiatives, address complaints, and improve service quality.
    3. Monitor patient wait times and implement process improvements to enhance the patient experience.
  6. Reporting:
    1. Prepare reports on financial performance, patient volume, and staff productivity for senior management review.
  7. Provide operational updates and insights to the Director of Operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Management: 4 years (Required)
